Position Summary:

The Training Specialist will provide safety, regulatory and job improvement skills training for process and pipeline personnel.  This individual will organize, teach, and maintain records to ensure operations and maintenance employees complete compliance training to meet all OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory requirements. Additionally this Specialist will assist in development of Operations and Maintenance procedures to ensure PSM / DOT compliance.  This person should have a strong operations background with the ability to develop and present topics to process and pipeline personnel. He/ She should have a personality that lends itself to leadership within a group and should be able to build and maintain relationships outside the HSE&R group. 

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine the initial training requirements for each employee and/or contractor personnel and ensure that all training is completed satisfactorily in pursuit of new employee development.
  • Provide safety, regulatory, and job improvement skills training for personnel in plants, terminals, and pipelines.
  • Complete an analysis to determine area and individual training needs.
  • Develop and deliver training to support needs analysis.

Instrumentation & Electrical / Measurement Technician

Performs electrical and instrumentation work which involves repairing motors, starters, generators, and exciters. Tests and repairs switchboards and installs new cables, wiring and electrical fixtures. Inspects electrical equipment at frequent intervals. Calibrates, maintains and repairs analog and digital equipment data acquisition units, and pneumatic and hydraulic control and indicating devices. Analyzes performance of equipment, and participates in the automation of facilities. Installs non-contract additions, replacements, inspects contract installed equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.
  • Troubleshoots problems with control systems and complex equipment associated with gas recips & turbines, generators, process plants, dehydration, control & pump stations and gas chromatography.
  • Runs conduit, pulls wire, changes motors and maintains lighting systems and basic motor controls.
  • May maintain, modify and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
  • Maintains advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration and temperature monitors).
  • Is able to read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings; interprets plant electrical diagrams. Updates electrical drawings.
  • Installs, troubleshoots and maintains end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc.
  • Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • Provides training and technical support as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program in instrumentation or related studies is preferred.
  • Journeyman electrical designation is highly preferred.
  • 5 + years of electrical and instrumentation experience is preferred. Experience preferred in an energy related industry.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical codes and is familiar with AC voltage (120v-4160v) three phase and single phase plus 120 VDC.

Position Summary:

 

Inspect maintain and repair pipelines, compression and measurement facilities.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Inspect, maintain and repair as needed all facilities as assigned, including but not limited to pipelines, compression, and measurement facilities.

Project Engineer - Liquids

The Woodlands, TX


Position Summary:

The project engineer liquids position will be responsible for the design and construction of crude oil, produced water, and natural gas liquid pipeline projects.  This includes preparing cost estimates and schedules to support commercial negotiations, preparing engineering designs, hydraulic analyses, construction drawings, bid packages, construction specifications, purchase orders, and coordinating and supervising all aspects of project implementation.  It also includes appropriation of funds in accordance with Company procedures, cost tracking, and reporting of project progress both internally and to customers.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Commercial and Operations teams to develop scope for new project or facility improvement proposals and prepare cost estimates for various alternatives;
  • Prepare authorization documents to appropriate funds for sanctioned projects;
  • Solicit design input from customer and internal stakeholders, design project facilities, perform HAZOP reviews, and ensure all designs are in accordance with industry codes and Company policies;
  • Work with Procurement team to source materials, issue purchase orders, track material shipments, document receipts, approve payments, and ensure proper coding of invoices;
  • Work with Land and Regulatory teams to obtain necessary right-of-way, permits, and approvals for new facilities;
  • Work with Construction team to develop project implementation plan and coordinate resources, both internal and external, to execute project activities;
  • Track and expedite all project activities to ensure project schedule and budget are met;
  • Prepare and distribute project progress reports and proactively notify project stakeholders if material deviations occur.
  • Supervise commissioning activities and transition of new facilities to the Operations team.
  • Ensure all project close out activities are performed including preparation of as-built drawings, documentation of construction records, updating of operations procedure manuals, and closure with regulatory agencies as required.

Position Summary:

The Plant Operator is multi-skilled position that is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and record keeping of gathering system compressor stations.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation, documentation, and housekeeping of compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas compressors.
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining required reports and logs.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Responsible for performing minor maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors, and cooling fans.
  • Daily condensate tank liquid handling and truck scheduling.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and manage pipeline, dehydration, processing/treating, compression, and meter/control station, and liquid handling & storage facilities.
  • Evaluate information and make recommendations regarding viability.
  • Assist Operations and Commercial Groups on all front-end activities regarding project scoping, estimating, and planning.
  • Conduct and/or assist in pipeline pressure, flow studies and process modeling. Make recommendations on pipe diameter sizes and facility designs based on technical findings.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting the status of all projects relative to cost, progress, problems encountered and solutions.
  • Responsible for coordinating engineering activities between operations, project management, marketing, and construction departments.
  • Initiate engineering projects as requested by operations, project development, and commercial groups and follow up on all phases of such projects through completion.

  • Knowledge of pipeline & facility engineering and construction principles and practices.
