SCADA Technician

Position Summary:

The SCADA Technician provides support of the SCADA and Measurement Systems.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the field technicians, the Network group, and the Control Center to troubleshoot data and communication problems between the remote RTU/PLC and the SCADA environment
  • Poll for missing meter data in the Measurement system
  • Build graphic displays for control center and other end users to support pipeline operation
  • Add devices to ACM and KepServer to acquire data from remote RTU/PLC sites

VP, Engineering and Construction

Position Summary:

Provide leadership, strategic planning and direction for the Engineering and Construction functions for Summit Midstream Partners.  Oversees the development, preparation and maintenance of engineering and construction specifications and standards. Responsibilities include planning, project management, budgeting, compliance, data gathering, engineering calculations and analysis and development of proposals for engineering and construction projects. 

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform the lead role in the planning and management of major engineering and construction projects including gas and liquids gathering, gas fired and electric compression, transmission, distribution, and other gas delivery related projects.
  • Ensure the appropriate records and documentation are gathered during construction and maintained within departments to comply with all state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that engineering design functions are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with standard industry practice, good engineering principles, applicable codes, regulations, rules and policies.

Facilities Engineer

Position Summary:

The Engineer position covers a wide range of natural gas gathering systems, oil gathering systems, water gathering systems, metering station, dehydration, processing/treating, and compression projects and requires a high degree of initiative and self-motivation. Excellent facility planning, design, analytical, problem solving, decision-making, communications, and project management skills required.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and manage pipeline, dehydration, processing/treating, compression, and meter/control station, and liquid handling & storage facilities.
  • Evaluate information and make recommendations regarding viability.
  • Assist Operations and Commercial Groups on all front-end activities regarding project scoping, estimating, and planning.
  • Conduct and/or assist in pipeline pressure, flow studies and process modeling. Make recommendations on pipe diameter sizes and facility designs based on technical findings.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting the status of all projects relative to cost, progress, problems encountered and solutions.
  • Responsible for coordinating engineering activities between operations, project management, marketing, and construction departments.
  • Initiate engineering projects as requested by operations, project development, and commercial groups and follow up on all phases of such projects through completion.
  • Evaluate engineering problems and provide technical recommendations to solve these problems. Respond to requests from various groups (i.e., operations, commercial, etc,) for engineering assistance related to new pipelines, meter & control stations, dehydration, processing/treating, compression, and meter/control station, liquid handling & storage facilities, restorations or enhancements to existing facilities.

 

Education/Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering Discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 10 years of experience in engineering design, operation, maintenance, and project management of pipelines dehydration, processing/treating, compression, and meter/control station, liquid handling & storage facilities.

 

Technical & Personal Skills:

  • Knowledge of pipeline & facility engineering and construction principles and practices.
  • Familiar with reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&ID;’s, civil drawings, electrical drawings, and mechanical drawings.

Plant Operator

Position Summary:

The Plant Operator is multi-skilled position that is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and record keeping of gathering system compressor stations.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation, documentation, and housekeeping of compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas compressors.
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining required reports and logs.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Responsible for performing minor maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors, and cooling fans.
  • Daily condensate tank liquid handling and truck scheduling.
  • Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for reporting, troubleshooting, and correcting, abnormal operating conditions.
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities of contract personnel assigned to the area.
  • Identify emergency situations and initiate Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment, implement current safety policies and ensure environmental policies and regulatory compliance are being met
  • May be required at some locations to monitor meters and gauges to maintain correct temperature, pressure and flow of gas through system.

Education/Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years stable work history in the energy industry and/or technical training in mechanical or electrical field.

 

Technical & Personal Skills

  • Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy related field preferred.

Instrumentation & Electrical /Measurement Technician

Job Description

Performs electrical and instrumentation work which involves repairing motors, starters, generators, and exciters. Tests and repairs switchboards and installs new cables, wiring and electrical fixtures. Inspects electrical equipment at frequent intervals. Calibrates, maintains and repairs analog and digital equipment data acquisition units, and pneumatic and hydraulic control and indicating devices. Analyzes performance of equipment, and participates in the automation of facilities. Installs non-contract additions, replacements, inspects contract installed equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely.
  • Troubleshoots problems with control systems and complex equipment associated with gas recips & turbines, generators, process plants, dehydration, control & pump stations and gas chromatography.
  • Runs conduit, pulls wire, changes motors and maintains lighting systems and basic motor controls.
  • May maintain, modify and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
  • Maintains advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration and temperature monitors).
  • Is able to read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings; interprets plant electrical diagrams. Updates electrical drawings.
  • Installs, troubleshoots and maintains end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc.
  • Performs preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • Provides training and technical support as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision based on Technician's skill sets.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from a technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program in instrumentation or related studies is preferred.
  • Journeyman electrical designation is highly preferred.
  • 5 + years of electrical and instrumentation experience is preferred. Experience preferred in an energy related industry.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical codes and is familiar with AC voltage (120v-4160v) three phase and single phase plus 120 VDC.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to assume responsibility, prioritize and respond to multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.
  • Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications.

Position Summary:

 

Inspect maintain and repair pipelines, compression and measurement facilities.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Inspect, maintain and repair as needed all facilities as assigned, including but not limited to pipelines, compression, and measurement facilities.

·         Knowledge and experience with line location equipment and techniques

·         Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets
